Getting Here
Part of the fun and excitement of visiting our Best Bed and Breakfasts of Victoria is getting here. Victoria is located on the south end of Vancouver Island, just a short distance from Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, BC. For the second year in a row Vancouver Island has been voted by Conde Nast Traveler magazine as the best island to visit in North America. Victoria, by the way, was voted the best city to visit in the Americas this year, in the Readers' Choice Awards.
Victoria Bed and Breakfasts Listings No matter which mode of transport you choose, your visit to our Island paradise begins with scenic panoramas and a travel adventure. Our West Coast beauty will capture your imagination as you sail across on one of the many car and foot-passenger ferry routes, possibly to catch a glimpse of whales frolicking, or dolphins skimming by the ship's bow, or eagles soaring above. Some of Victoria's arrival points include the Inner Harbour, Sidney, Swartz Bay, and Victoria International Airport. BC Ferries Photo: PawPrint.net
Several airlines fly into Victoria, often providing connections from Vancouver BC or Seattle Washington. See our stunning coastlines and mountain backdrops from the air on one of the many float-plane, helijet or regular airline trips. The scenery is breathtaking as you circle the rocky outcrops and long stretches of coastline.
Once you arrive, there are a variety of ways to get around. Take a shuttle from the airport, a taxi or our local bus transport system. Many car rental companies offer excellent deals, and walking is a treasured part of life in this gentle city. Come visit our unique garden city and leave the hectic daily pace behind. While you're at it, learn the art of gearing down and stopping to "smell the roses".
